I'm going through a bit of a lippy phase. By this I mean, if I'm left in a boots/superdrug/anywhere that sells lipstick for long enough, I will buy some of the glossy stuff. It's not that I need it, it's more of a kid-at-christmas-fascination kinda thing.
To be honest, I'm insanely fussy when it comes to lip shades. I love deep and bright reds, but don't get on with orangey tones or nudes. Nudes completely wash me out as I'm pale as milk. Sooo I've been after a pastely pink shade for a new while now, and more specifically a dupe of Dior Addict (which I typically lost on a night out *cries*).
So yesterday, after multiple swatches and contemplation I purchased the L'Oréal Caresse lipstick in shade 03 'lovely rose' and my God, is it lovely! It truly lives up to it's 'caresse' promise by soothing and moisturising the lips, offering a subtle glow, yet nothing too overly glossy or sticky which makes it extremely wearable.
To ensure you get longwear out of the lipstick, I'd suggest using Benefit posie tint as a base lip coat. It gives a strong and rather strong rose shade, although it can be very drying. The two products combined however, create the perfect girly-pink and moisturising combo.
For a neutral, rosey shade this product is absolutely perfect. I was wearing next to no makeup today and a swish of this pink stuff was all it took to brighten up my face a bit; of course you could also use it to tone down smokey eyes (top versatility!). I'd definitely recommend this lipstick to anyone, especially those with pale skin. Great buy for £8, thank you L'Oréal!
